DAILY: Art + Dialogue

We are very excited about the upcoming events and exhibition in Greensboro, Art + Dialogue: Responding to Racial Tension in America (A + D). The A + D partners include the African American Atelier, Center for Visual Artists, Greenhill, Guilford Native American Art Gallery and the National Conference for Community and Justice of the Piedmont Triad (NCCJ). Artist selection was led by Greenhill, along with visual art partners, and guided a panel of nationally and internationally recognized artist jurors.

The list of artists is impressive, and includes three area artists: Tyler Starr of Davidson, NC; Pam Winegard of Matthews, NC; and Renee Cloud of Charlotte, NC.

There are tons of programs supporting the exhibition, beginning with the reception on Thursday, September 24 from 5:30-7:30pm at Greensboro College, followed by a panel discussion the next day, Friday, September 25, from 5:30-7:30pm.

We applaud these organizations for collaborating around such an important and challenging topic – and using art as a catalyst for dialogue.
