If you really want to support the arts in Charlotte, you need to put these upcoming fundraisers on your calendar. (Sure, the first two are on the same night, but we managed to attend both last year!)

Saturday, November 14, 2015, 5-8pm
An Evening of Earth & Fire
This event supports the only non-profit clay studio in town, Clayworks
Event details: The event takes place at Elder Art Gallery and features a silent auction and raffle with works from some of North Carolina’s finest ceramic artists. The silent auction will end at 7pm. Event includes refreshments.
Cost: Free!

Saturday, November 14, 2015, 6:30pm
The Light Factory’s 33rd Annual Auction
This event supports a much beloved organization in town, The Light Factory.
Event details: Live and silent auction featuring photographic works. Refreshments provided. Silent auction begins at 6:30pm and live auction begins at 8pm.
Cost: $40 members/$50 non-members. Buy tickets now.

November 20, 2015, 7-10pm
8th Annual Palate to Palette
Wine and art pairing event to support the McColl Center for Art + Innovation
Event details: Wine tastings in artist studios, art for sale by current and alumni Artists-in-Residence, a showcase of regional jewelry artists, live music, food, and a cash bar. This evening also marks the opening of an exhibition by 13-month Affiliate Artists Ivan Toth Depeña and Stephen L. Hayes Jr. (second and third floor galleries).
Cost: Advance tickets are $35 for McColl Center members and $50 for non-members. Buy tickets now. (Ticket prices will increase at the door.)

December 5, 2015, 6-10pm
Jazzy Holiday Gala
The 2015 Jazzy Holiday Gala supports the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture.
Event details: This black-tie event takes place at the Charlotte Convention Center. More details to come but the event will honor Dr. Yele Aluko and Dr. Shirley Houston-Aluko (Philanthropy and Arts Advocacy), Duke Energy (Corporate Citizenship and Partnership), and Lonnie G. Bunch, III, Director, Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture (Art and Culture).
Cost: $175 per person. Link to purchase tickets on Gantt website coming soon.
