Originally launched in NY in 2008, the Creative Mornings concept is simple: breakfast and a short talk one Friday morning each month. Events are free of charge and open to anyone. After 7 years, CM will finally launch in Charlotte this Friday, with Matt Olin taking the lead.
The inaugural Charlotte event takes place November 6 at 8:30am at LaCa Projects. Speaker Jen Band focuses on CM’s November topic: work. There is already a waitlist for the event but don’t worry: CM will take place every First Friday of the month, in a similar format: 8:30am start time, coffee, breakfast items, and a short talk from a Charlotte-based creative. The event wraps up by 10am. Ok, ok, so it’s a tad later than you typically head into the office, but it should be fairly easy to convince your boss that this creative dialogue is just the thing you need to jumpstart your day. Plus, it’s a great networking opportunity.
If you miss this one, you will have the opportunity to catch a video online. FYI, the video archive is also a fun way to see how each city interprets the designated theme.
HappeningsCLT will keep you posted on upcoming events, particularly when the speakers are visual artists!
