With Fall/Winter comes several galas and fundraisers, so make plans to support your favorite local arts organizations.
We already mentioned An Evening of Earth and Fire, the annual Clayworks fundraiser, scheduled for Saturday, November 12. The event, held at Elder Gallery, is free, so you can afford to bid often on silent auction items – all works from some of North Carolina’s best ceramic artists. The event begins at 5pm, silent auction will close at 7pm, and event continues until 8pm.
Next up, join the Young Affiliates of the Mint for their Fall Ball on Saturday, Nov 19 from 8pm until midnight. Join the Madness is a Mad Hatter-themed black tie event featuring petit fours, heavy hors d’oeuvres, live music, a DJ, and of course, galleries filled with art! All proceeds from the event will be used to help offset the cost of student tours. Regular tickets are available beginning October 10th, with member pricing at $100 each (non-members pay $120).
And then on December 3, attend the 36th annual Jazzy Holiday Gala benefiting the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts+Culture. The black tie event will take place begins at 6pm at the Charlotte Convention Center. Tickets are $250 for individuals, and the event includes cocktails, dinner, awards, entertainment, and dancing. Tables are also still available.
