In its third year, the CPCC Friends & Family market continues to sell artworks for under $50 in support of gallery educational programming. Here’s a selection of artists with work on view: Terry Galante, Danny Crocco, Désirée Petty, Barbara Schreiber, Paula Smith, Eli Arenas, Cara Truitt, Ashley Knight, Lisa Underwood, Bryan Wilson, Al Torres, Ahmad Sabha and Nelli Leventhal.

Recycled Paper Jewelry Making Workshop with Eliana Arenas

2011 McColl Center Alumna Artist and renowned jewelry maker Eliana Arenas will show you how to develop exciting jewelry ideas with recycled paper. You’ll use patterns, multiples, and innovative techniques to create unique three-dimensional jewelry.

Uptown Crawl
6-9 p.m.

Organized by Charlotte Center City Partners, participants will be able to begin the tour at any of the featured institutions, then travel freely between the stops by foot, trolley courtesy of the Knight Foundation, bike or complimentary of Charlotte B-cycle. Participating institutions include: Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture, Mint Museum Uptown, New Gallery of Modern Art, Sozo Gallery, McColl Center for Art + Innovation, UNC Charlotte Projective Eye Gallery, Goodyear Arts and Levine Museum of the New South.
