Daily: ASC Creative Renewal Grant and South Arts Fellowships & Southern Prize

The Arts & Science Council’s new Creative Renewal Fellowship Grant is an excellent demonstration of the ASC’s commitment to creative individuals. The $10,000 fellowship funds can be used for research, instruction, conferences, apprenticeships, travel, or other experiences that will help the recipient explore his or her creative journey.

The grant focuses on personal renewal – similar to the concept of a sabbatical – with less focus on a specific outcome other than creative recharge. Recipients must have lived in Charlotte-Mecklenburg for at least three years and have been pursuing work in the creative field for the last ten years. Four artists will be awarded the fellowship.
