The Luxembourg Art Prize is open to any artist, amateur or professional, with no limits on age, nationality, or place of residence. The Prize, approximately $26,000 US, is open to artists working in drawing, printmaking, installation, painting, performance, photography, digital art, sculpture, sound art, video, mixed media, and decorative art (textiles and material, glass, wood, metal, ceramics, mosaic, paper).
Submit: Artists have to create a Candidate Space on the Luxembourg Art Prize website and complete the entry form on-line. Submission will include contact info, biographical information, statement about artist’s process/approach, artist’s photo, a selection of up to three works (or vimeo/you tube links). Entry fee is approximately $48 USD.
Deadline: May 31, 2017, by midnight through Candidate Space.
Prize: In addition to the cash prize, the winner will receive an exhibition in a prestigious institution, personally advised by Hervé Lancelin, member of ADIAF (association of major European collectors) and trustee of the Amis du Musée d’Art Moderne, d’Art Contemporain et d’Art Brut (Friends of the Museum of Modern, Contemporary and Outsider Art). All costs associated with travel, accommodation, insurance, etc. will also be provided.
