Wet Paint

Mark your calendars for the opening of Wet Paint, Goodyear Arts’ inaugural exhibition in their new Camp North End space. This invitational group exhibition highlights brand new work by 31 Charlotte artists who have not had Goodyear Arts residencies.

Goodyear Arts co-founder Amy Herman says the title of the exhibition sets the mood for a “showcase of fascinating recent work and at least a partial snapshot of Charlotte art at this moment. It’s also a bit of a dare; we are asking artists to show some work they’ve only just completed—before they’re entirely comfortable with it. It’s less safe than it could be, and that appeals to us at Goodyear Arts. It’s a chance for the artists to take some risk.”

On view September 29-November 10, 2017 with an opening reception on Friday September 29 from 6-9 p.m.

In the list of participating artists below, we’ve linked to our Carolina Art Crush artist interviews where appropriate. We hope you take a moment to get to know them!
