Arts-Science-Council

The City of Charlotte’s funding for the Arts and Science Council is currently under review by City Council as a part of the City of Charlotte’s overall budget. Today, June 8th, City Council will vote to either keep the ASC funding level flat at $2,940,823, or cut the budget by up to 10%! A 10% reduction would impact public/private partnerships, the work of the Cultural Life Task force, and would directly cut all grants and services to the city’s cultural and community groups.

Stay tuned to the ASC’s Facebook and Twitter accounts for more updates on today’s vote!
