The application for the Arts & Science Council’s Regional Artist Project Grant is now open. The grant provides funding for individual artists or groups of unincorporated artists to pursue projects that will further   artistic development. For example, artists may submit a request for funding to purchase equipment or to attend a professional development opportunity/workshop.

The grant is open to artists 18 years of age or older, working in all disciplines. Artists must be US citizens and permanent residents (minimum of 12 months) of Mecklenburg or surrounding counties, including Cabarrus, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Rowan, Rutherford, Stanly, Union, or York (SC). Applicants cannot currently be enrolled in degree-granting programs during the time their funded project is in progress.

The maximum grant request per artist is $2000.
