The McColl Center is getting a 4,000 square foot commercial gallery.
Developers are breaking ground in early 2016 for the new condo tower 1 Brevard at the corner of Brevard and 4th Streets in uptown Charlotte. They’ve already started selling units.
From the announcement:
[The Developer] plans to donate the building’s ground-floor retail space, approximately 4,000 square feet, to the McColl Center for Art + Innovation, which expects to use the space for a gallery featuring work from alumni of the organization. New Gallery of Modern Art, headed by Irina Toshkova, would partner with the McColl Center on the gallery and operate the facility.
Our friend Irina already represents a number of McColl Center alumni, including Shaun Cassidy, Isaac Payne, and Linda Louise Brown, among others. Sounds like the perfect fit.
