There seems to be quite a bit of turnover in the Charlotte art world lately. In the past, when we have been in the market for a job, we frequented several websites including the Arts & Science Council; the New York Foundation for the Arts, and the American Alliance of Museums. If you are interested in finding a job in the cultural sector, you might want to check out the sites mentioned. Below, you will find a few interesting jobs that are currently open here in Charlotte. (FYI, we hear there will be a few more positions posted soon.)

Digital Communications Specialist at the Becthler Museum of Modern Art – If you have 1-3 years of experience, an undergraduate degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related area, and you are an expert in social media, this full-time position might be your dream job.

Executive Assistant to the President, Accounts Payable at the McColl Center for Art + Innovation. This job doesn’t sound like the most creative job out there, but it would be a great opportunity for someone with a few years of office experience looking for an entry point into the non-profit world.
